Anyone who has run the Utica Boilermaker 15k knows it is not an easy race. Throw in 11,000+ runners on a narrow road to start, July heat/humidity and, well...let's just say it's an experience. With an eye on the 2011 ING Hartford Marathon, Mike set out to see what he could do with the work he has put in over the last few months...
9.3 miles and 61 minutes later, Mike hit the tape. I would say he is well on his way to a quick marathon debut in October.
Nice job, Mike - #416 out of 11,060 runners - not bad for an old man!
